“I didn’t post a review right after our service call, because I had a hard time believing the outcome/after what had transpired, and the number of service calls involved. We had another company out 5 Times, to fix a furnace/over a period of a couple of weeks. Each time they assessed the situation, and made some adjustments. On the 5th service call they told us we needed a new furnace, because ‘X’ wasn’t working, the parts were no longer available. The new furnace would be $3000 plus plus plus ($). This would be in addition to the cost of the 5 service calls. This was in a rental house, and at the time of the last service call, I was 5 hours away. I googled, and saw Sherwood Mechanical, and some positive reviews, including one from a customer that had experienced the same situation. At this point, it was EXTREMELY cold/late afternoon/and the furnace had been non-functional since 2:30 a.m. I called Sherwood Mechanical, and spoke to ‘Peter’ and he said he would send out Kris Kozjak (I believe this is his son). Kris was there in an hour, they texted me to let me know when they were on their way/and sent me a pic of who would be arriving. Also, according to Google, their service people have criminal background checks… Kris arrived on time, had the furnace FIXED in less than an hour, and ALL of the issues were because of the LAST company that had been there. They had hooked up hoses/electrical connections INCORRECTLY (and charged me every time). This was on Feb 2, 2021, and I am posting this review on Feb 11/21. We have had ZERO ISSUES SINCE THEN. My entire bill, from Sherwood Mechanical, including travel (short distance out of town) and GST was $214.20. Pretty sad commentary when a person is THIS GRATEFUL to find a fair and honest company, that responds and HANDLES THE SITUATION, and doesn’t charge people an absurd amount of $$. On the other hand, I’m grateful to find Sherwood Mechanical, and to know there are still people out there that treat people fairly, and communicate, and get the job handled. PS to the “Other Guys” … ‘I See You’ too…and we will never give you our business again. ”

“Was very impressed with the service when I called on a Saturday to schedule a tech for the Monday. I was assured someone was available right away if I decided immediate service was necessary, all I had to do was call back. The text alert that the tech was on his way was great. It included Peter’s photo, which was a nice “safety” feature. Peter spent a good amount of time on diagnosis of the issue and testing, and was honest about what he did and didn’t find. He answered all my questions, and we ended up ordering a new blower motor. A formal quote was supplied and approved. Also impressive. A few days later Chris called to say the motor was in and scheduled install for the same day. Another nifty text alert and photo, which was handy because I forwarded it to my daughter, who was home. Apparently there was some extra time/effort to remove and replace the motor, but they stuck to the quote. Payment process was convenient, and all done quickly and electronically. I recommend Sherwood Mechanical for furnace work definitely. I will also call them for our next plumbing project.”

Shortly after speaking with Peter, we received a text advising of our Technician’s name and photo. Cole Henderson arrived 3 hours later and was super polite, courteous and had the job completed within a few hours! He wore a mask (due to COVID) the entire time and we really appreciated this added precautionary safety measure. Would recommend this company to anyone. H & P Vroman”

“On the hottest day of the year, the a.c. would not start up. Called Sherwood Mechanical on a late sat aft and Chris the technician found a few loose wires and got it going. What a relief after two nights of little sleep. Charges were very reasonable and will be looking at a new furnace he recommended closer to the heating season.”
